Hello Oak Hills Families!
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am incredibly excited about beginning my second year as principal at Oak Hills! I look forward to working with each and every one of you and your children.
A little bit about my background . . . I am a lifelong SCV resident (I went away for college, but like many of us, came back home after graduation). I spent the first 24 years of my career in the Saugus Union School District. I’ve taught grades 2nd through 6th at three different sites (Emblem, Bridgeport, and West Creek Academy). Prior to coming to Oak Hills, I served as the assistant principal at Bridgeport.
When it comes to what I value as an educator and as a principal, I truly believe that everything we do in this profession revolves around relationships. We are in the business of people. My goal for us is to build a culture and climate where each and every student feels seen, heard, and valued for who he or she is and for the positive contributions he or she makes to our school. My hope is that every one of our students learns valuable lessons that remain with them not only while they are at Oak Hills, but for the rest of their lives. After all, when you become an Oak Hills Coyote, you aren’t a Coyote for one or two or even six or seven years . . . you are an Oak Hills Coyote for life!
Finally, I truly believe that education works best when students, parents, and staff members all work together toward the common goal of doing what is best for students. I believe that open communication is critical and extremely important to the culture of our school. Please know that my door is always open and that I am here to work with you to resolve any concerns or answer any questions that you may have. I cannot wait to collaborate with you, and do AMAZING things for our students with you!
